About me...

Why hello there! This is the face behind the lens! I'm Tiffany of Tiffany Marie Photography and I have a photography obsession. Starting back when I was about 8, I've loved the world of photography and have had my hand on a camera ever since. I am married to an amazing guy I call husband. We have one smarty pants of a daughter, two crazy kitties, and a high strung Aussie/Husky mix.  I love cookies! Oreos, chocolate chip, Snickerdoodle...doesn't matter, love them all.  I am travel obsessed, with a million and one places on my bucket list.  So far, Italy is my favorite place to visit.  My favorite animal is the peacock.  I currently reside and consider my home base in Jackson, MI.

In December of 2011, I graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a Bachelor of Art degree, concentrating in photography; with a minor in Psychology. I'm entering my 7th year as a professional photographer, and I'm loving this journey of working my dream job every day!  My work has placed 1st and 3rd at the Jackson County Fair; and most recently, my work is displayed on many of Rivertree Community Church's advertisement and website!

I love creating memories out of  ”your moments.”  It’s your job to have a story, and my job to capture it.  Why choose me?  My clients and I connect and brainstorm right from the beginning.  I love to meet in person and go over expectations, wardrobe choices, locations, even where clients are wanting their portraits to be displayed in their home before our session.  For weddings, we even hash out a rough timeline together so we can optimize your day to capture the best moments and make the best use of our time together!   I use a combination of natural light and additional off camera lighting to capture your wedding or family in the most flattering way possible.

About Your Session...

For all sessions, I require a non-refundable retainer upon booking.  That ensures me that you are serious about your session and it secures your session date and time.  The remainder of your session/package fee will be due day of, before any photos are taken.  Session time typically runs between 1-1.5 hours, up to 3 hours for engagements and seniors.

The next step is to choose where you would like your session to take place.  I reccomend outdoors with plenty of shade as to prevent washing out and sharp contrasts.  Previous locations have included parks, backyards, down town, a family farm, even a run-down house on the side of the road!  The possibilities are truly endless!

Wardrobe choices can be frusturating for photos.  You want everyone to look their best without looking cheesy and are unsure how to go about it.
        - Choose coordinating colors.  If a fall session or outdoors, choose natural tones ie. browns, golds, and reds.
        - It's okay to add in patterns, it gives dimension to your photos.  If you want everyone in a single color, have each person wear a different shade or pattern.  Not only does it show individuality, but it separates each person from a sea of one solitary color.

Don't forget the props and accessories!  Seniors, this is definitely for you!  That favorite set of bracelets, your soccer gear, or your favorite guitar.  If you play sports, let's get you on the field or on the court.  Pets count too...so email me any questions regarding your "accessories!"
