As I started collecting images together for Dave and Jaime’s wedding album, I thought I should share a bit from their big day with you! Though their day had a rainy twist in the original plans of a quaint backyard wedding, their romantic rustic wedding was still absolutely beautiful. Surrounded by family and friends while saying their vows is the most precious part of their day.
Jaime started the day at her parent’s home, getting ready with her son, sister, and niece. The excitement in the air growing with every passing minute. As Jaime gets her hair done by the awesomely talented Annie Yamakawa, she giggles about the pampering process, the unpredictable weather, and the day’s events that lie ahead. She wasn’t nervous or anxious, just ready to get married to her guy.
Didn't Annie Yamakawa doing a beautiful job with Jaime's hair?!? She did Tosha's hair as well. Call her up if you need a stylist for your big day!
The ceremony took place at Rivertree Community Church and every detail was perfectly placed. With flowers arranged by a family friend, Sarah Aldaffer-Soltis, the place felt like a twinkling, magical garden. Their scrumptious cake made by Oh! Suzanna held the mystery gender of Dave and Jaime’s unborn little one. I was secretly holding out for a girl, because little girls are the cutest!!
While checking in on Dave and his men, he too looked calm and collected. Film camera in hand, he captured the day from his point of view.
As the ceremony began, there was not a dry eye to be seen. Jaime’s satin and lace dress from House of DeVaughn was the perfect accessory to her garden wedding. I remember Jaime once telling me years ago, “I would have married him yesterday!” Seeing their story come full circle was exquisite. I have been so honored to capture so many special moments in their lives, but this one was the icing on the cake. I truly loved being in the moment not only celebrating with them as their photographer, but as their friend and guest.
The rain finally subsided just long enough for us to capture some formal portraits outside, and I’m so glad we got them! These adorable images not only show the love between a groom and his bride, but also that of a blended and growing family. I couldn’t have asked for a more deserving couple to be so blessed with so much love. Love you guys!
