Kelsey & Patrick | Classic Romantic wedding | Jackson, MI wedding photographer

When Kelsey and Patrick met with me last year, I was anxious.  They were one of my first few couples who heard of me from a "friend of a friend" sort of relations...not directly from one of my friends, so I was naturally nervous.  I was starting to get my name out into the world.....or just into Jackson County, but whatever, it's the world to me!    So I was terrified I was going to blow our meeting.

But instead, we connected and I was so excited that we meshed so well.  It got even better when Pat said, "oh yea, and we want to incorporate our plane into the engagement and wedding photos."  Ummmmm say what?!  YES, please!

The morning rain may have prevented us from getting a few of the preparation shots outside, but the sun finally peeked through and the day ended up gorgeous.

Kelsey & Pat married at Queen of the Miraculous Medal in Jackson, with their reception at the Country Club of Jackson.  Kelsey looked stunning in her gown from Pierre's Bridal out of Lansing.  Her hair and makeup were on point thanks to the awesome ladies from Atlas Salon.  Their theme of the wedding is "love takes flight." and it was everywhere.  From the detailed hand crafted invitations created by Kelsey's mom, Robin, to the custom cake created by their family friend, Kelsey Fink.

It was a beautiful Catholic service; my first one as a wedding photographer.  I really liked that the ceremony included guests to partake in communion.  I feel like it really tied in the importance of family and communal support for a rock solid relationship with each other and God.  Throughout the ceremony, I kept noticing Patrick glancing at Kelsey - she really was a beautiful bride - and I kept catching myself smiling at them.  Being able to capture true love like that is the best part of my job.

Our bridal party portraits was at none other than the Jackson County Airport hangar to have a backdrop of Patricks second pride and joy, his plane.  I'm still hoping for a ride in it one day ;)  And check out the florals - the bouquets and boutineers were created by Angel's Floral Creations out of Brooklyn, Jackson.

Their reception was nothing short of adorable.  With every detail related to love taking flight, travel, and airplanes, it was remarkably them.  The videographers (Ingalls Pictures out of Grand Rapids) created an amazing little video showcasing the highlights of the day up through dinner.  Spectacular centerpieces created by Patrick's aunts donned every table, the lighting was elegant and inviting.   The toasts were superb and the food was exquisite.

Thank you so much to the both of you to for having me along for your wonderful day.  Check out some of my favorite images of their day below.  And be sure to check out more info if you're interested in booking a wedding or session with me at my pricing page here
